Higher Degree Research

We are a leading Australian humanities school committed to research excellence.  Our academic staff are internationally recognised for their scholarly expertise.  The School has strong research impact, with continued success in securing research grants and funding.  We have an established record of scholarship and contributing to national and international publications including major monographs, research articles, reviews and conference proceedings.  In our teaching and research activities we use the methodoloies of history and philosophy to expore: historical, cultural and political contexts for pressing social issues; the moral and ethical basis for human choice and decision-making; how and why social change occurs; human responsibility for social systems, place and environments; and links between human vlues and knowledge production.  The School provides a challenging and supportive environment for research students.
